Gameplay
Set up the game
- Lay out the game board on a flat surface and place the Chance and Community Chest cards facedown in their designated spaces.
- Each player chooses a token and places it on the “GO” space.
- Shuffle the Title Deed cards and place them next to the game board.
- Assign one player as the banker, who will manage the money and property transactions.
Roll the dice and move
- On your turn, roll both dice and move your token the number of spaces rolled in a clockwise direction.
- If you roll doubles, take another turn after resolving the action of your current space.
- Land on unowned property, and you have the option to buy it from the bank. If you choose not to, the banker will auction it off to the highest bidder.
Follow the rules or cheat!
- This edition encourages you to cheat! During your turn, you may attempt to perform one of the cheat cards without getting caught.
- Cheat cards allow you to steal money from the bank, move extra spaces, or avoid paying rent, among other sneaky actions.
- However, if caught by another player, you’ll face the consequences, such as paying fines or going to jail.
Complete challenges and earn rewards
- Throughout the game, you’ll encounter “Cheat Challenges” on the Chance and Community Chest cards. These challenges ask you to perform specific cheat actions without getting caught.
- If you successfully complete a Cheat Challenge, you earn a reward, but if you fail, you face penalties.
Be the last player standing
- The game continues with players taking turns and engaging in cheeky cheating tactics.
- The goal is to bankrupt your opponents and be the last player with money and property.
- The last player standing, having successfully outwitted and out-cheated their opponents, is declared the winner of Monopoly Cheaters Edition!
