Gameplay
Set up the game
- Place the hexagonal game tiles facedown in a random order to create the playing area.
- Each player chooses a color and takes all the corresponding insect tiles.
Start the game
- The first player places one of their insect tiles in the center of the playing area.
- Players take turns placing one of their insect tiles adjacent to any other tiles on the board. The first tile must always touch the starting tile.
- Queen bee must be placed within the first few turns of the game
Expand the hive
- Each type of insect has its own unique movement rules. Here are the basic movement rules for the initial insects:
- The Queen Bee can move one space at a time.
- The Beetle can move one space and then climb onto other tiles.
- The Spider can move up to three spaces orthogonally.
- The Grasshopper can jump over other tiles in a straight line.
- The Ant can move any number of spaces around the perimeter of the hive.
- The objective is to strategically place and move your insects to outmaneuver your opponent’s insects.
Surround the opponent’s Queen Bee
- The game continues until one player successfully surrounds the opponent’s Queen Bee entirely with tiles.
- The Queen Bee must be completely surrounded and unable to move to be considered trapped.
- The player who traps the opponent’s Queen Bee wins the game.

- As you become more familiar with the game, you can explore the advanced movement rules and strategies for each insect.
- Experiment with different tactics and plan ahead to outmaneuver your opponent and secure victory.
